Consumer ElectronicsCable Assemblies
Fine-gauge internal device wiring for phones, tablets, laptops and wearables — LVDS/eDP display cable, USB-C data and power, board-to-board jumpers and micro-coax, terminated to JST, Molex and Hirose connectors and built to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship.
What makes a consumer electronics cable different
Consumer-electronics wiring is the opposite problem to a power harness. Instead of thick conductors and rugged jackets, the job is to move data, video and a little charge current through the smallest possible bundle inside a sealed enclosure. That means fine-gauge 28–36 AWG hook-up wire — down to 40 AWG on micro-coaxial cable — routed through hinges and around boards on a tight bend radius, terminated onto 0.4 mm-pitch connectors that disappear under the chassis. Micro-pitch crimping on conductors this thin is a distinct manufacturing discipline, and it is the core of our consumer-electronics line.
Inside a single device the cable changes job at every junction: an LVDS/eDP display cable feeding the panel, an internal USB-C data and power jumper, board-to-board links, an antenna or RF coax run, and FFC/FPC flat-flex ribbons tying modules together. High-speed pairs ride on foil-plus-braid shielded micro-coax so LVDS, eDP and USB SuperSpeed signals stay clean next to switching power and dense logic. We build all of it as custom, pre-terminated assemblies to JST, Molex Pico-Clasp/PicoBlade and JST connector interfaces, so your line drops them straight onto the board.
Consumer electronics applications we wire
Fine-gauge cable assemblies for internal device wiring, display, data and power
Display & Imaging — LVDS / eDP
Fine-pitch display cable for LCD/OLED panels, camera modules and viewfinders. We route LVDS and eDP pairs on shielded micro-coax to hold impedance and keep high-speed video clean across a tight bend radius inside the chassis.
Data & Power — USB-C / USB
Internal USB-C and USB jumpers carrying data plus charge current in one assembly. Fine-gauge UL 1571/1061 hook-up wire keeps the bundle slim while foil shielding protects SuperSpeed pairs from on-board switching noise.
Wearables & Compact Devices
Miniature interconnects for smartwatches, earbuds, fitness trackers and hearables where every millimetre counts. Silicone-jacketed fine-gauge wire and 0.4 mm-pitch micro connectors flex through hinges and tight housings without fatigue.
Board-to-Board & FFC/FPC
Board-to-board jumpers, FFC/FPC flat-flex ribbons and antenna/RF micro-coax that tie PCBs, sensors and modules together inside the device. Pre-terminated to JST, Molex and Hirose connectors so the line builds drop them straight onto the board.
Built fine-gauge, layer by layer
Conductors
Fine-gauge tinned copper from 28–36 AWG, down to 40 AWG on micro-coax, with high strand counts for the flex life that hinges, slides and wearables demand.
Insulation
UL 1571 / UL 1061 thin-wall hook-up wire and FFC/FPC flat-flex film keep the bundle slim while holding dielectric and impedance for high-speed pairs.
Jacket & Shielding
Silicone and thin-wall PVC jackets for flexibility, plus foil-plus-braid shielded micro-coax that guards LVDS, eDP and SuperSpeed signals from on-board noise.
Connectors
Factory-terminated JST (PH/SH/GH/ZH), Molex Pico-Clasp / PicoBlade, Hirose DF-series, board-to-board and FPC ZIF — crimped and seated, not field-assembled.
Fine-gauge technical capabilities
Micro-pitch termination and impedance-controlled, shielded high-speed routing — built to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship for densely packed consumer devices.

Why choose our consumer electronics cable services
Fine-gauge assemblies that fit the enclosure, pass signal integrity and survive flex
Fine-Gauge & Micro-Pitch Expertise
Crimping and terminating 28–40 AWG conductors onto 0.4 mm-pitch JST, Molex and Hirose contacts is a different discipline than power harnessing — and it is our daily work.
High-Speed Signal Integrity
Impedance-controlled LVDS, eDP and USB SuperSpeed routing on shielded micro-coax keeps display and data signals clean inside electrically noisy, densely packed devices.
Built to IPC/WHMA-A-620
Every assembly is crimped, dressed and inspected to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship under our ISO 9001 quality system, with RoHS / REACH compliant, UL-recognized wire.
100% Electrical Test
Continuity, miswire and hi-pot testing on every unit catches the opens and shorts that fine-gauge, high-density assemblies are most prone to before they ship.
Consumer electronics standards
Our assemblies are built to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship under our ISO 9001 quality system, using RoHS / REACH compliant, UL-recognized wire.
Consumer electronics cable FAQ
What wire gauges and types do you use for consumer electronics?
We specialise in fine-gauge work — typically 28–36 AWG UL 1571 / UL 1061 hook-up wire, down to 40 AWG on shielded micro-coax for high-speed display signals. We also build with FFC/FPC flat-flex and silicone- or thin-wall-PVC-jacketed wire where flexibility and a small bundle diameter matter most.
Can you handle high-speed display cable like LVDS and eDP?
Yes. We route LVDS and eDP differential pairs on foil-plus-braid shielded micro-coax with controlled impedance, terminated to FPC ZIF or board-to-board connectors. This keeps high-resolution video clean across the tight bend radius inside a phone, tablet or laptop chassis.
Which connectors do you terminate for consumer devices?
We factory-terminate JST (PH, SH, GH and ZH series), Molex Pico-Clasp and PicoBlade, Hirose DF-series, board-to-board headers and FPC ZIF connectors — with pitches down to 0.4 mm. All contacts are crimped and seated in-house so the assembly drops straight onto your PCB.
Are your consumer electronics cables RoHS and REACH compliant?
Yes. We build with RoHS- and REACH-compliant materials and UL-recognized wire, manufactured to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards under our ISO 9001 quality system. We supply the corresponding compliance documentation with your assemblies.
How small a connector pitch can you assemble?
We routinely build down to 0.4 mm pitch on micro connectors and FPC ZIF interfaces. Micro-pitch termination on fine-gauge conductors requires dedicated tooling and operator skill, which is core to our consumer-electronics line rather than an exception.
Do you offer USB-C and USB cable assemblies?
Yes — internal USB-C and USB 2.0 / 3.x jumpers that carry both data and charge current in one slim assembly, with foil-shielded SuperSpeed pairs. See our dedicated USB cable assembly capabilities for connector and shielding options.
What are your typical MOQ and lead times?
We support prototypes from small quantities with 7–10 day sample lead times, scaling to volume production for consumer programs. Building and validating a sample first lets you confirm fit, routing and signal integrity inside the real enclosure before committing to a production run.
Do you provide design support for fine-gauge assemblies?
We do not offer standalone design services, but our engineers give DFM feedback on your drawings — connector selection, conductor gauge for current and flex, shielding strategy for high-speed pairs, strain relief and labeling — to make the assembly manufacturable and reliable at volume.
