Background

A US smart-hardware distributor was supplying custom cable assemblies to a Tier-1 contract manufacturer. A severe quality rejection from that end-customer put the entire program on the line.

The Challenge

The end-customer flagged multiple defects, including contact crimping issues, incorrect cable labeling, and dimensional non-conformities. Together these threatened cancellation of the whole program.

Our Solution

We appointed a dedicated quality manager, ran 100% production inspection with additional outgoing quality control steps, and rapidly remade samples for re-approval. Throughout, we kept communication with the end-customer fully transparent.

The Result

We recovered the customer's trust and kept the orders flowing, including a 500-piece production run placed before final sample approval. The recovery turned into a stable multi-year partnership running from 2022 to 2026.
