What makes an automation harness different
An industrial-automation harness lives a harder life than office or consumer wiring. It is dragged through cable carriers millions of times, splashed with cutting oil and coolant, abraded against machine frames, and run inside an enclosure full of variable-frequency drives throwing off electrical noise. Ordinary hook-up wire work-hardens and cracks in that world — so machine cabling uses PUR-jacketed continuous-flex cable rated for 5,000,000+ cycles, EMC-controlled shielding, and sealed M12 cable assemblies that survive washdown rather than failing the first time the line is hosed down.
Inside one machine the wiring changes job at every layer: ferrule-terminated control wire in the control panel, M8/M12 cordsets out to sensors and valves, shielded servo power and feedback cable to the drives and motors, and PROFINET, EtherCAT or IO-Link cabling stitching the network together. We build all of these as custom, pre-terminated assemblies and full factory wiring harnesses — wire-marked, continuity-tested and built to IEC 60204-1 and UL 508A — so your build team bolts them in instead of cutting and crimping on the cell floor.
Automation applications we wire
Machine-grade cable assemblies for every layer of a factory cell
PLC & Control-Panel Harnesses
Point-to-point and ferrule-terminated wiring for PLC racks, control cabinets and motor-control centers — built to the IEC 60204-1 machine-wiring rules and UL 508A panel practice that inspectors check. Numbered, labeled and continuity-tested so the panel comes alive the way the schematic says it should.
Sensor & Actuator (M8/M12) Cabling
Pre-molded M8 and M12 circular cordsets and field-wireable assemblies that link sensors, valves and actuators to the I/O layer. A/B/D/X-coded contacts with IP67/IP68/IP69K sealing survive washdown, coolant and vibration on the cell floor.
Servo & Motor Power / Feedback
Matched power and feedback (resolver / encoder) cable sets for servo drives and motors, with foil-plus-braid shielding to keep encoder signals clean next to PWM switching. Continuous-flex constructions handle the moving axes of pick-and-place and gantry machines.
Fieldbus & Drag-Chain Cabling
Industrial-network and continuous-flex cabling for the moving and networked parts of a machine — PROFINET, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP backbones plus PUR-jacketed drag-chain cables rated for 5,000,000+ flex cycles in cable carriers.
Switchgear, MCC and distribution-panel wiring is handled through our switchgear cable assembly service, and articulated and SCARA robots through our industrial robot harness service.
Built machine-grade, layer by layer
Conductors
Fine-stranded copper sized for 300/600V control circuits and motor power, with bare or tinned options for terminal-block and ferrule terminations — flex-rated stranding for any conductor that rides in a cable carrier.
Insulation
Heat- and oil-resistant insulation rated for a -40°C to +90°C machine environment, with halogen-free (LSZH) options for enclosed control rooms and equipment that must limit smoke and corrosive gas in a fire.
Jacket
PUR (polyurethane) jackets for continuous-flex and drag-chain service — oil-, coolant- and abrasion-resistant, rated for 5,000,000+ flex cycles so moving-axis cables outlast the machine cycle, not just the warranty.
Connectors & Shielding
Factory-terminated M8 / M12 (A/B/D/X-coded) and 7/8" circulars, Harting-style rectangulars and terminal blocks, plus foil+braid shielding with 360° backshell bonding for the EMC performance servo and fieldbus links demand.
Machine-grade technical capabilities
IEC 60204-1 and UL 508A construction with PUR continuous-flex materials and EMC-controlled shielding, validated for moving-axis and high-noise machine environments.

Why choose our automation cable assembly services
Machine cabling that passes inspection and survives millions of cycles on the line
Continuous-Flex Engineering
PUR-jacketed, flex-rated constructions validated for 5,000,000+ cycles in cable carriers — not general-purpose tray cable that work-hardens and fails on a moving axis.
Built to IEC 60204-1 & UL 508A
Machine and panel wiring built to the IEC 60204-1 electrical-equipment-of-machines standard and UL 508A industrial-control-panel practice, under our ISO 9001 quality system with IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship.
EMC-Controlled Construction
Foil-plus-braid shielding and 360° backshell bonding on servo, encoder and fieldbus assemblies keep PROFINET, EtherCAT and feedback signals clean next to drives and PWM switching stages.
100% Electrical Test
Every harness gets continuity, hi-pot and pin-out verification against the schematic, with contact-resistance checks on M8/M12 and power circulars, before it ships.
Automation industry standards
We hold ISO 9001 and build to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship, manufacturing machine and panel wiring to the IEC 60204-1 and UL 508A standards inspectors and OEMs require.
Industrial automation harness FAQ
What cable do you use for continuous-flex and drag-chain applications?
For moving axes and cable carriers we build with PUR (polyurethane) jacketed continuous-flex cable — oil-, coolant- and abrasion-resistant, rated for 5,000,000+ flex cycles. Conductors use fine-stranded, flex-rated copper so they do not work-harden and break on a reciprocating machine, and we add foil+braid shielding where servo or fieldbus signals run alongside power.
Which connectors do you terminate for industrial automation?
We factory-terminate M8 and M12 circular connectors in A, B, D and X coding with IP67/IP68/IP69K sealing for sensor, actuator and Ethernet links; 7/8" connectors for power; Harting-style rectangular connectors for multi-circuit machine interfaces; and ferrule or terminal-block ends for control panels. All terminations are crimped or molded and tested in-house so installers do not field-crimp on the cell floor.
Do you support PROFINET, EtherCAT and other industrial buses?
Yes. We build network cabling for PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, IO-Link and CANopen, using D-coded or X-coded M12 connectors and the controlled-impedance, shielded constructions those buses require. IO-Link sensor and master cabling is detailed on our IO-Link cable assembly page.
What voltage and temperature range are your assemblies rated for?
Control and power assemblies are rated up to 600V using 300/600V machine wire, across a -40°C to +90°C temperature range that covers cold-store, outdoor and hot-process machinery. We match insulation and jacket compounds to the specific oil, coolant and abrasion exposure of each machine.
Are your harnesses built to IEC 60204-1 and UL 508A?
We build to IEC 60204-1 (electrical equipment of machines) machine-wiring rules and UL 508A industrial-control-panel practice as a build-to requirement, manufactured under our ISO 9001 quality system to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship class. We are not a UL panel-builder ourselves — we manufacture wiring and harnesses to those standards so your panel and machine pass inspection.
Can you provide EMC-shielded servo and feedback cables?
Yes. Servo power and feedback (encoder/resolver) cable sets are built with foil-plus-braid shielding and 360° backshell bonding so encoder and bus signals stay clean next to drive PWM switching. We can match a specific drive/motor family’s connector and pinout when you supply the drawing.
What halogen-free or washdown options do you offer?
We offer halogen-free / LSZH insulation for enclosed control rooms and fire-sensitive equipment, and IP67/IP68/IP69K-sealed M8/M12 cordsets for high-pressure washdown lines such as food, beverage and pharmaceutical machinery. Material selection is matched to the cleaning chemistry and pressure on your line.
What is your MOQ and lead time for automation harnesses?
We support prototypes from 1–10 pieces with 7–10 day sample lead times, scaling to production batches (typically 500+ units, negotiable) at a 99.8% first-pass yield. This lets machine builders validate a harness on the real cell before committing to volume.
