Application Context

What a TE Connectivity cable assembly requires

A TE Connectivity cable assembly is only as good as the parts and the crimp behind it. We build exclusively with genuine TE Connectivity connectors sourced through authorized distribution channels, so the housings, terminals, seals, and backshells on the finished assembly match the references on your drawing. Crimping is validated to TE Connectivity specifications with pull-force and cross-section quality control on every terminal family, because a connector that meets its rating on paper still fails in the field if the crimp is wrong.

The right series depends on the job. AMPSEAL and AMPSEAL 16 give IP67-sealed power and signal for harsh environments; Superseal 1.5 adds a waterproof system for sensor circuits; the Dynamic series covers industry-standard board- and wire-to-wire signal connections; and MATE-N-LOK / MicroTimer handle miniature, high-density layouts. Where the application needs full environmental protection we build waterproof cable assemblies, and for rugged sealed interfaces we also terminate Deutsch connector assemblies. If a specified TE part carries a long lead time or high MOQ, we flag it at RFQ review and — where the form, fit, and mating interface allow — propose a buyer-approved alternate, with the same review available for Molex and Amphenol connector programs.

Engineering Challenges

Review risk before production

01

Genuine Sourcing

Connectors sourced only through authorized TE Connectivity distribution channels so housings, terminals, and seals are authentic — not gray-market look-alikes.

02

Connector Selection

Series, pitch, current rating, and sealing class matched to the application; gaps in a drawing that names a family but not a full BOM are closed before quotation.

03

Crimp Validation

Crimp tooling reviewed upfront and validated to TE specifications with pull-force and cross-section quality control on each terminal family.

04

Availability & Lead Time

Constrained parts flagged at RFQ review, with buyer-approved alternates proposed where form, fit, and mating interface allow — transparent cost and MOQ notes, buyer keeps the decision.

FAQ

Buyer questions before RFQ

Can you quote from TE part numbers only?
Yes. If you already know the TE Connectivity housing, terminal, seal, or backshell references, we can review the mating parts, wire range, tooling, and sourcing risk directly from that list.
What if our drawing names a TE family but not a full BOM?
We can help close the gaps before quotation. Send the drawing, application, current load, sealing target, and panel or harness constraints, and we will identify the missing connector details that affect cost and lead time.
Do you support prototype samples and scheduled production releases?
Yes. The same workflow can support first samples, pilot builds, and recurring production once the connector family, crimp tooling, test method, and labeling rules are locked.

Representative Project

Representative project type (illustrative)

Representative project type we handle, shown for illustration. Not a specific named customer.

Scenario — An industrial buyer brings a TE Connectivity connector program where a connector or component on the original bill of materials carries a long lead time or limited availability.

Challenge — A specified part can dominate the schedule when its lead time or minimum order quantity does not match the program timeline, putting the whole release at risk.

Solution — We flag the constrained part during RFQ review and, where the form, fit, and mating interface allow it, propose a buyer-approved alternate with transparent cost and MOQ notes — the buyer keeps the final decision.

Result — With the sourcing risk surfaced early and an approved alternate path available, the program stays on its intended schedule instead of stalling on a single part.

  • Connector sourcing reviewed at RFQ stage
  • Buyer-approved alternates proposed where form/fit/interface allow
  • Transparent cost and MOQ notes
