A US power equipment OEM was qualifying a new supplier for power transmission components. From the outset, the customer required localized parts and rigorous quality documentation on the initial sampling run.
The Challenge
The customer demanded PPAP Level 2 documentation for the sample order itself. That meant rigorous quality control and full process validation had to be in place from the very first build, not phased in after award.
Our Solution
We implemented strict PPAP Level 2 compliance for the sample production run, building the documentation package and quality metrics around the customer's standards for power transmission components. Every step of the process was validated and recorded.
The Result
We passed the initial supplier evaluation and secured the first sample order. Clearing PPAP Level 2 at the sampling stage set the foundation for future volume production.
