Background
A European sensing equipment manufacturer relied on a critical IPEX connector for an AWG#40 micro-coax cable assembly. A supply chain shortage put continuity of supply at risk.
The Challenge
The original IPEX connectors were out of stock, threatening supply continuity for the AWG#40 micro-coax assemblies. The customer made clear it was impossible for them to accept cables built with the wrong connectors.
Our Solution
We sourced an alternative connector, manufactured 10 sample assemblies, and submitted them to the customer's technical team for rigorous functional testing and validation.
The Result
The alternative connector samples passed the customer's testing and were approved, allowing production to continue and resolving the supply chain bottleneck.
