Background
A US intelligent machines manufacturer required a custom cable assembly for its product. Some specialized components for the build could not be sourced through the local supply chain.
The Challenge
Specific parts for the assembly could not be sourced in China, putting completion of the order at risk and raising the prospect of a full redesign.
Our Solution
We identified the sourcing gap early and arranged for the customer to supply the specific components on a consignment basis. Those parts were then integrated seamlessly into our domestic production flow.
The Result
The assembly was completed successfully despite the local sourcing limitation, letting the project move forward without a complete redesign.
