Zero repeat-order loss

Background

A US electrical supply distributor ordered custom wire harnesses built with specific Molex connectors and strict color requirements on the connector housings.

The Challenge

Approximately 200 pieces of the harness assembly had connector coloring that did not match the strict aesthetic and technical requirements. The deviation risked outright rejection of the batch and a project delay.

Our Solution

We implemented a rapid rework process: the 200 pieces were returned, and the connectors were correctly dyed and replaced to specification. We also tightened in-process quality control specifically for custom color requirements to prevent recurrence.

The Result

The batch was reworked and delivered without losing the client's trust. The client continued to place repeat orders in the following months with no further quality complaints.
